Hey guys! I’m back from the land of smiles! I will be having a post on my getaway under the new tab ‘Escapade’ in a week or two. I’ve gotta say I had the best meal of my life over there (hopefully not the last!) and I can’t wait to share with you guys. So do keep a lookout for the update!
I don’t usually do reviews here, but I’m gonna introduce to you guys this restaurant situated at Art House (second floor of timbre), Olivia Cassivelaun Fancourt, cause its simply too good! OCF is a french fine dining restaurant house by Executive Chef Jonathan Koh. With a open kitchen concept in place, a live music set up for jazzy performance by local talents, this place is simply perfect to bring your date(s) to.
The X-factor about this restaurant is that the menu change according to the freshest ingredients of the season. They have the so called ‘Pre-Theatre’ menu where you pay for the set price of mystery courses with new surprises created by the chef everyday.
I went for the executive 3 course lunch set at 38++/pax a few weeks back. So menu might have already changed to the current season.
I especially like the thinly sliced to perfection scallop carpaccio among the entrees. Simple with caviar and greens.
I still remember vividly the texture of the pork collar, along with the chestnut puree, glaze & yellow bell.
Too pretty to eat it! But i still manage to slurp every single drop of the sorbet.
All in all, I had a wonderful dining experience over there and I will be sure to go back again! Tip: Seat somewhere near the window to take nice food pictures for your social media 🙂
